By creating Sets & Smart Sets you can get a better overview of your Records and tailor them to your personal needs.
In the left, private area you can create Sets and Smart Sets with sorting criteria. In the right, public area you can only create Sets.
The sorting of a normal Set and a Smart Set function differently.
Identifying Features:
“normal” Sets are lined in black, Smart Sets in green.
Sorting Order in Sets
In the top bar you can see by which criterion a Set is organized. For normal Sets it will automatically use Sorted by: Own .
By default the Records will be displayed in the order you add them to the Set by.
Workflow:
- Create or select a Set
- Move the Records via Drag and Drop to the Set
- Choose a sorting criterion in the Dropdown “Sorted by:”
- If you have bundled your Records as a Series, select if they should be displayed in the
Single or Series view. - Use the arrow next to the sorting criterion to toggle if the Records should be sorted in ascending or descending order.
- Now you can save your Set Sorting
Only by saving will the Records be displayed in this order in the future.
The Dropdown has now returned to Sorted by: Own and you can use Drag and Drop again to modify your order.E
Warning: Sorting and Saving with Sorted by: is only possible with Sets with a maximum of 1000 Records!
Sorting Order in Smart Sets
The sorting order in a Smart Set functions similarly. The criterion needs to be defined upon creation of the Smart Set and cannot be changed later
- Create a search.
- Set a criterion, for example
Date. - Choose if the Records should be in ascending or descending order.
- Choose (if the Records are part of a Series) if you would like to view the Record in Single or Series view.
- Save the Smart Set and give it a name.
When you create new Records with the according criteria, they will automatically be added to the Smart Set and sorted.
The standard sorting order is by ID number.
In a Smart Set Records can’t be moved via Drag and Drop.
The Sorting order cannot be changed in an existing Smart Set. You can however select the existing Set, change the sorting order, save it as a new Smart Set and delete the old one.
