This is what the invitation email you find in your inbox looks like:
1- Create an account
First you have to create your kleio account.
Click in the email on
and the kleio login screen will open automatically:
Now click on No account yet?
Now enter the required details in the form and click on Sign up
kleio will now send you a confirmation link to the email address you entered. Open your inbox and confirm your e-mail address.
2- get to know kleio
Your personal kleio account will now open! 🎉
You can see the following:
1: Your catalog of works This is the Organize panel on the left. Here you can create your catalog of works. Everything you do here is internal and only visible to you. For 96CHF per year you can record, describe and structure an unlimited number of projects here.
2: free profile record
This is your profile record - your profile on kleio. Click on it to edit it. You can upload a picture and enter information about yourself. This record is available to you free of charge.
3: Your websites (Spaces)
This is the right panel Present & Collaborate. Here you can create and manage websites. Everything you do here can also be made public.
3.1: Your free kleio website
This is your kleio website with your kleio domain. Your profile record is already stored here in About. This one-pager website is available to you free of charge.
3.2: You have been invited to this space
You have been invited to this collaborative space (this is a website of another kleio user to which you are allowed to contribute). Now it's time to accept this invitation and share the profile record with this space.
4: Account settings
Here you can access your account settings.
5: Add record
Here you can add more records. As soon as you add another record, your 30-day test phase starts during which you can test all kleio functions free of charge. You do not have to deposit any means of payment.
3 - Accept Invitation
Now click on Settings in the Space to which you have been invited
and the invitation opens:
Now you can accept the invitation.
2- Understanding the new Space
Once you have accepted the invitation, the space on the right will change. You can now see the following:
1: Name of the Space that invited you
2: Number of records you can share with the Space. (In this example 1)
3: You can click here to view the Space's website. You will also appear there.
4: This takes you to the Space settings. There you can determine the field selection. This is optional. You can find more information here: Customise fields selection
5: This is the field into which you can drag your records that you want to share with the Space.
3 - Share Record
What content you should share with the space should be stated in the invitation.
In this example, the aim is to share the Profile Record with the Kulturverband Kunterbunt in order to appear there as a member.
To do this, go to your profile record. You can recognize it by the black border.
Now click on your profile record and drag and drop it into the field in the shared space. Let go of the record and it is shared!
You can still edit the profile record in your archive. All adjustments are also made automatically in the shared space.
Note that the space owner determines which field contents and tags are displayed as filters on the website.
4 - Fill in the profile record
Next, you can customize and fill out your profile record according to your needs.
Upload one or more profile pictures, add your resume in the description field, etc.
If you adjust your profile record, it will automatically be adjusted in the shared space as well.
5 - Wait until your profile is published
In order for your profile to be visible online in the shared space, the owners of this space must publish your profile. It may therefore take some time for this to happen.
In this example from Kulturverband Kunterbunt, it looks like this:
6 - Optional: Customise Field Selection
Click on Settings in the invited Space.
This appears:
1: Link to the Space
Here you will find the link to the Space to which you have been invited
2: Invitation text
Here you can find the invitation text.
3: Leave Collaborative Space
Here you can leave the Collaborative Space if you wish.
4: Standard selection
And here you can determine which of your field contents you want to share with the space you have been invited to.
Click on Standard selection.
Then this page appears. All fields with a black background are selected as published. In this example, the contents of the fields Label, Description, Date, Content tags, Is part of series, Category, Material & technique, URL and Linked records are displayed. And all files in the Gallery section are shown.
If, for example, you do not want your field contents from the Is part of series field to be published on the invited space, you can deselect the field here.
