Change Account Settings
To access your account settings
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on

- Now open your account settings
Manage subscription & payment
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on
Account
- Now open your account settings
Go to the Account section.
Click on Manage subscription & payment

Add payment method
To add a new payment method click on add payment method

Now select a payment method and fill in the fields. This will then be debited automatically as soon as the payment is due. You will be informed by e-mail before the payment is debited.
Possible payment methods are:
- Debit and credit cards
- Paypal
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
Note that depending on the browser, only Google Pay (Chrome browser) or Apple Pay (Safari browser) is displayed.
You can change and replace the payment methods at any time.
View invoice history and print receipts
You can view your invoice history and print your receipts at any time in your subscription and payment management.
Cancel subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time on the following payment date. If you cancel your subscription, your content on kleio will be frozen after the payment date and will be accessible again as soon as you reactivate your subscription.

Reactivate Account
If you have canceled your subscription or the payment date has passed without a payment being received, your account will be frozen. You can recognize this by the banner in your kleio account:
In your account settings under your account status it says “Frozen”.
If you want to reactivate your account, go to your account settings and click on the Reactivate account
button.
Then select a payment method and make a payment.
Enter Promo Code
If you have received a promo code, you can enter it in your account settings.
As soon as you have entered this, a notification will appear that this has been registered:
The discount will then also be displayed in your statement in your payment administration.
Change Mail Address
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on

- Now open your account settings

You can change your account e-mail address here.
Change Passwort
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on
Account
- Now open your account settings
Scroll down until:
You can change your password here. If you click on Change password
, we will send you an e-mail. In the e-mail you will receive a link to change your password.
The password must be at least 8 characters long and contain a capital letter, a number or a special character.
Public kleio Domain
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on
Account
- Now open your account settings
Every kleio account automatically gets a kleio domain. We use your account name for this. Your domain will look like this www.DEINNAME.kleio.com. This will be the website domain of your Main Space.
You can change this URL here at any time. However, change it carefully, as search engines will take a while to display your pages after a change. The kleio domain is secured by means of a certificate in order to pass the security checks of the browsers and to be easier to find (indexed).
User discoverable
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on

If you save yourself as discoverable (by clicking the checkmark), other kleio users can find and invite you for collaborations. Other users can then recognize that you have a kleio account and see your published space, if available.
Input language and order
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio

You can use kleio in three languages: German, English and French.
At the top right, when you click on your account name, you can select the language in which your kleio is displayed. This selection is only relevant for your internal use of kleio and does not change the language in which visitors see your website.
In your account settings, you can select the languages in which you want to publish your content and the order in which the language sliders should appear.
To do this, you can select the languages you want to use and then change the order using drag-and-drop.
For example, if you select German and English in the order German > English, the language sliders will appear in your right-hand panel Present & Collaborate and in the detailed view of your records in this order.

Language of correspondence
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio

Here you can choose the language in which you would like to receive information from kleio.
Heading composition in the overview
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on

- Now open your account settings

Here you can select which field information should be displayed by default as a label for your records in the tile view in the internal area of kleio.
If the fields are not filled in, they will not be displayed. For example, if a record does not have a date, no date can be displayed in the label.
You can also determine the order of the label composition by moving it back and forth.
Standard unit of measure
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on

Here you can select which unit of measurement (cm or inch) should be used as the default for your entries in the record. The unit of measurement is then specified as the default, but can still be adjusted individually for each record.
Standard Currency
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on

- Now open your account settings
Scroll down until:
Here you can select which currency should be used as the default for your entries in the record. You can either select from the drop-down menu that appears or type a currency into the field. The currency is then entered as the default, but can still be adjusted individually for each record.
Delete Account
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on
Account
- Now open your account settings
Scroll down until:
Here you can irrevocably delete your kleio account including all saved data. If you click on Delete account
, a field will appear where you can confirm your decision by entering the word DELETE.
Deleting your account will also automatically cancel your active subscription.
Imprint
- Click on your account name in the top right corner of your kleio
- Click on

- Now open your account settings
Scroll down until:
You can enter the legal notice for your website here. As the display of an imprint is required by law in Europe, we ask you to fill it in.
Please fill in the following fields:
- Site operator: First and last name of the contact person
- Address: Address of the person
- E-mail address: E-mail address of the person. Tip: Enter the e-mail address with an encrypted @. For example, yourname(at)mail.com. This will make your email address less easy to find and you will receive fewer spam emails.
- Phone number: Phone number of the person
The remaining information is automatically added by kleio.
You can find the imprint on your Space by clicking the Airplane button at the bottom left.
Change Account Name
You cannot change the name of your account in the account settings, but in your profile record. You can find it by clicking on Type = Actor in the Organize Records panel on the left. The record with the green frame is your profile record. Click on the record to edit it. Enter your desired account name in the Label
field.
