Sort
To get a better overview of your records, you have the option in kleio to set your own sorting structure in each set.
Sorting in a normal set and in a smart set works differently.
Sort in Set
In a normal set, the Own sorting is automatically set first. This means that the records are displayed in the order in which they were added to the set.
There are various ways to change the sorting of your records.
If you leave the sorting set to Own, you can arrange the records as you wish using drag-and-drop. The arrangement is saved automatically.
If you want to sort your records according to a certain criterion, you can click on Own and a drop-down menu will appear.
Now you can choose how you want to sort your records in this set. For example, you can sort them by the date they were created in kleio.
To do this, click on Created on
. Your records will now be sorted automatically.
You can use the arrow to the right of the sorting information to determine whether they should be sorted in ascending or descending order.
If you wish, you can now further refine the order of your records using drag & drop.
To save this sorting, click on: Sort by "XY"
Only if you save your sorting in this way will it be displayed on your website.
You also have the option of sorting your records according to a basic criterion and then making your own adjustments.
To do this, create a basic sorting using the drop-down menu. Then click on Sort set by "XY"
.
Now the Sort by specification automatically changes back to Custom and you can now change the basic sorting using drag-and-drop.
⚠️ Note: Sorting and saving the sort order is only possible for sets with up to 1000 records.
Example: Sort Records by Date
Sort in Smart Set
Sorting by drag-and-drop is not possible in the Smart Set. Here you can only sort according to the predefined fields. When new records are created that are automatically added to a Smart Set, they are also automatically sorted accordingly.
The default sorting in a Smart Set is by ID number.
Here too, you can open the drop-down menu by clicking on ID and select a criterion for sorting. You can then use the arrow to the right to determine whether the sorting should be ascending or descending.
The sorting is saved automatically.
